Kunming in the south west Chinese province of Yunnan is to be home to a 236 hectare » Printing & Packing City «.More than RMB 2 billion is being invested in the venture in the Kunming Dabanqiao industrial area, which is expected to attract 100 printing companies. Planners expect the printing and packaging centre at Kunming Dabanqiao to become the largest development of its type in Southwest China within five years. Expected to be operational by June 2007, the zone will be divided into seven zones, including book and magazine printing zones, a paper printing zone, a packaging zone, a printing museum, a technical institute and a logistics zone.
